The College has two types of placement services. Both are optional and free,
but strongly recommended.
Internship
This is a short period of paid or unpaid work experience that may be undertaken optionally during
your Diploma or Advanced Diploma semesters. It
is undertaken on Fridays, and Student Services works
with
you to
locate
volunteer placement with a relevant business or organisation. Many of our graduates find full-time work with their internship firm.
Internship helps you put your studies in context
and practice skills in the
real
world. We also find that students who are working in relevant work
at the same time as they are learning place a higher value on their
study because they understand its relevance to the workplace.
Job placement
We receive more employer requests for staff than we can fill. Student Services works with each student to match job preferences with jobs available. All students complete a set of Careers Strategies seminars that prepare them for CV preparation, job selection, interviews and career path management. |
