About three-quarters of Williams students are school leavers, so we know that we have a large parent community to satisfy, as well as the students themselves and the businesses that will ultimately employ them.

As a parent you worry about whether your children are making the right decision in terms of their study and career. What you worry most about is if they’re going to a place that offers not only a high standard of teaching and curriculum but also that a caring and friendly environment.

Williams is a family business and appreciates that quality and care are synonymous.

The College has been run hands-on by the Williams family for 114 years, and is now entering its fourth generation. Laurier Williams, the founder's grandson, is College manager and oversees the academic program. His wife Linda manages Williams's student services, and has recently been joined by fourth-generation Williams, Julia.

Our staff are dedicated individuals who enjoy teaching. They have current workplace experience that is entwined with the curriculum they are required to teach. These ‘war stories’ that they tell the students are excellent examples of how their study is being played out in a real workplace, not just a case study from a text book.

We believe our longevity is due to more than just a passion for business and business education. We understand the many and diverse needs of young people who are in the grey zone between long, stable years at school and the uncertainty of finding satisfaction and remuneration in a job and an independent life. Parents understandably worry at this time (as if the HSC wasn't enough!) and we can help them as well as our students by being available to talk, help and work through the infinite variety of problems that can arise.
