international students

Williams has welcomed overseas students to its classes since the 1970s, so we have had long experience in understanding the needs of international students. We recognise what a broadening effect they have on College life and how, in turn, we can broaden their lives.

About one quarter of our student body is from overseas. In the past two years, our international and exchange students came from the following countries: Bhutan, Brazil, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Madagascar, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom and the USA.

Our College is situated on the edge of the North Sydney CBD and you can’t ask for a better location to study. Parks, café’s and other businesses surround us. We are close to buses and trains, and the vibrant North Sydney CBD is a block away.

The subjects that we teach are universal in nature – we know that you may want to go back to your home country or apply for residency in Australia and the skills and knowledge in our courses mean that you can do either.

If you’re a student from another country we require your English be at a level of 5.5 in a recent IELTS exam, or you can sit an English exam here at Williams College.

Please contact our Student Services team to discuss what course is for you and what the regulations are for your country of residency.
