Overseas travel is a great experience.
Living in another country, and studying there expands your horizons even
more. At Williams we have established exchange programs to offer
students the opportunity to develop, in both business and life skills.
There are many benefits to participating in an exchange program.
- Travel plans, accommodation and your objectives are clear before you go.
- Classes are all taken in English.
- You spend enough time in an overseas location to really exerience
another culture first hand. This is probably the most important benefit of exchange programs, as an understanding of other cultures has a significant positive impact on working effectively in a global market.
Our current international links are in France (Paris) and Finland. We have welcomed
many students from these exchange partners and we plan to expand to other countries in the future.

| Maarit
and Sami Aho, and Ville Leppanen were students of the Seinajoki
Polytechnic (Finland) when they spent a semester in Australia,
at Williams, as part of their Marketing Degree. Williams students
can spend a semester with our exchange partners in Paris or central
Finland. |
Sophisticated Scandinavia!
Available to all Williams students.
For a completely different experience, you can venture to central Finland,
just below the Arctic Circle.
For six years now, Williams has welcomed students from The Finnish School of SME Business - a faculty of Seinäjoki
University of Applied Sciences who take a semester of their 4-year International Marketing degree in another country.
Williams exchange students to Finland participate in the 3-month Gateway Program (March to May) encompassing the history, culture
and
economics
of Finland,
the
Baltic
States, and
Russia. The program (conducted in English) includes a study tour to the
Baltic States or Russia, as well as visiting companies in Finland.
The School is at Kauhava, central Finland, 350km north of Helsinki,
and students live on campus. You will experience the warmth and sophistication
of Scandinavian culture, and the incomparable beauty of a season change
as deep snow is replaced by green forests and wildflowers. You do not
need a student visa as the duration is 3-months, and the tuition fees are fully subsidised by the
Finnish Government, reducing expenses to travel and living costs.
